Despite muddy conditions, progress continues

TCEC crews and additional crews from other cooperatives and contractors are working to restore power to the remaining homes before the weekend. About 20 residences are without power this morning. We hope to have those restored by the weekend. About 300 total meters remain off.

Crews have replaced approximately 1800 of 2200 damaged poles in the last ten days. That is about 90 miles of line. Considering the muddy conditions requiring some of our equipment to be pulled by tractors and dozers, that is extraordinary. We appreciate all the farmers who have been helping pull our crews.

TCEC will continue to post regular updates with videos and photos to its Facebook page during the storm repairs. To view them, go to: https://www.facebook.com/tricountyelectric/. Like the page to stay informed.

Members without social accounts can also view the Facebook feed by going to the website www.tcec.coop or use the SmartHub mobile app to view both Facebook and Twitter feeds.
