Co-ops Care: Co-ops Team Up to Help Keep the Train Running

The Lions Club Train at Sunset Lake has brought smiles to panhandle area kids since its first ride in 1958. But the G16 1946 Model was badly in need of a transmission overhaul. That’s when two Panhandle cooperatives came together to provide the funds needed for the repairs. PTCI and Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) donated a combined $2,360 as a part of their Co-ops Care initiative to make sure this iconic piece of Guymon history keeps rolling down the tracks.
