Operation Round Up is a simple yet impactful program that has made a difference in the community for several years now. The program is funded by members who choose to round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar. These small donations add up and can fund projects that significantly impact our communities.
Thanks to the generosity of those members, Operation Round Up has been able to give back thousands of dollars to local organizations. In fact, this past quarter alone, $14,500 was donated to support seven local projects.
The organizations and programs funded are listed below.
- $1,500 to the Beaver County Pioneer Library for the children’s outdoor seating area
- 3,500 to the Town of Tyrone for a new lawn mower
- $1,200 to the Cimarron Heritage Center to purchase a new printer
- $2,300 to the Cimarron County Food Pantry to help with electrical replacements and a new freezer
- $2,000 for the Goodwell Fire Department to replace Bunker Gear
- $1,000 to Ervin & Kathy Brune for donated Christmas meals
- $3,000 to the Goodwell EMS for an ambulance rebuild
Applications are due December 29 for consideration at the next meeting on January 10, 2024. If you know of a need, encourage the charitable organization to apply online using our Operation Round Up application.
