Co-op Connection Spotlight: Urban Bru Video
Owners Emmanuel and Susan Barias opened Urban Bru in 2011 at 418 N.W. 21st Street in Guymon. They opened a second location downtown in 2015, Urban Bru Kitchen at 118 N.W. Sixth, and a third Urban Bru Café 10 miles away at 118 S. Main Street in Goodwell.
Susan’s realtor career led her to expand into the food business when she spotted the perfect location for a coffee shop. Susan says Urban Bru represents life connecting with you by starting the day, sharing special moments and occasions, studies and work.
Urban Bru has been an Oklahoma-certified healthy restaurant since 2015 and is currently the only certified healthy restaurant in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Food is prepared fresh every day for each location.
Susan’s other certifications include certified chef, Zumba instructor, and yoga instructor. Susan enjoys running with her husband and their three dogs. Emmanuel and Susan’s grown daughter, Cai, runs with them when possible.
